The Dropouts are not just
another Classic Rock band, but a musical experience that, for a time, takes
us all back to an era when we were young and taking on the world. It bridges
the gap between the young and the forever "young at heart". The Dropouts
feature both male and female vocals, driving drum beats, killer guitar
licks, 3 part harmonies, and keyboards that remind us why Classic Rock
and 80's Dance Rock was so popular and fun to move to. Mark Myers, Founder
of the Dropouts, is the Bassist for the band. Mark also sings some lead
and background vocals. Mark has great range and presence on stage. Scott
Hillard: Percussion, background vocals, is the driving force behind the
band. Scott gives each song his personal touch and makes you want to get
out of your seat and hit the dance floor. Teresa Crawford is the Female
Vocalist for the group. Teresa's vocals are rich, powerful and her vocal
style has been compared to such artists as Pat Benatar, Ann Wilson of Heart
fame, and Melissa Etheridge. Keith Freisthler is the Guitarist for the band and also does
some lead and background vocals. Keith gives the band its edge. He has
been playing music since a very young age and always enjoys the fanfare
of an energized crowd. Carl plays guitar, bass guitar, harmonica, and sings background vocals. Carl has been playing music for over 30 years and has established himself as one of the most versatile musicians in the area. Jay Myers is the Sound Technician for the group.
Jay has become a very valuable addition to the band. He always strives
to perfect the group's sound. The group's format consists of a wide variety
of musical styles and influences which include Classic Rock, 80's Rock,
Funk, and some Blues.
